Documents Required

Note: the list of documents is indicative and not exhaustive. Further information may be requested during review of application.

1. Online application form duly filled and signed, wherever applicable. Applicants are advised to go through the guidelines/instructions before filling the online application form.
2. Old passport in original with photocopies of first, second and last page of passport & the page(s) containing passport officer´s observation (s) if any.
3. Original Letter of employer in English, signed by the authorized signing authority of the company addressed to the Consular Officer, Embassy of India, Mexico City, stating date of appointment and position in the Company. In case of private business, copy of Company’s registration with SAT.
4. Original & copy of proof of legal residence in Mexico i.e. FM3 (Resident Permanent)/FM2 (Resident Temporary).
5(a) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member  (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owners Id is required)  or

(b) Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of owner’s Mexican ID.
6. Annexure E to be filled and signed by the applicant as self declaration.
7. PP form – Personal Particular Form to be completely filled by the applicant.
8. Two recent photographs with white back ground.

Change of particulars from the current passport (refer below for details)

Supporting document to be produced in original and copy to be attached with the application

1. Applicant is required to fill all blank part of the application by blue/black pen after printing the application form. Signature/Thumb impression of the applicant should be clear and strictly within the box provided in the application form.
2. Photographs- Two color photographs of size 2 inch X 2 inch with white background one pasted on the application form and other to be attached with the application.
3. All copies submitted should be attested as : TRUE COPY signed by the applicant with date.

4. Passport in original is required to be sent through courier , all other documents only photocopies.

Fee and Mode of payment :

Fee to be deposited in respective banks and it is required to  send/bring  original fee payment receipts.

NOTE: INDIAN NATIONALS ARE ADVISED TO HAVE THEIR PASSPORTS RENEWED AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EXPIRY OF VALIDITY. THIS WILL HELP THEM IN AVOIDING SITUATIONS AS MANY COUNTRIES REQUIRE A MINIMUM SIX MONTHS' PASSPORT VALIDITY FOR ISSUING VISAS.

CHANGE OF PARTICULARS IN THE CURRENT PASSPORT

A. Change in surname after Marriage/divorce/remarriage and Insertion/Deletion of Spouse Name in your new passport.

  • Copy of Apostilled Marriage Certificate/ Divorce Certificate and copy of spouse's passport.

B. Split of Given Name or Name Order Change.

  • Self declaration by the applicant stating the changes.

C. Addition or Deletion of Surname.

  • Gazette Notification of the concerned State Government (to which the applicant belongs)
  • Copy any public document issued in favor of the applicant with the changed name.
  • Original Newspaper page publication for the changed name.
