Ambassador Pankaj Sharma attends 14^th anniversary celebrations of HCL Tech in city of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Ambassador Pankaj Sharma visited the HCL Tech office in the city of Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico) to attend their 14^th anniversary celebrations. During his remarks, he congratulated HCL Tech for the digital transformation and innovation brought by them in India and globally and remarked that the technology sector driven by companies like HCL Tech will form major area of cooperation and bilateral trade between India and Mexico. He also invited the Mexican companies present on this occasion, to take advantage of the economic transformation taking place in India.

2.Other officials present at the event were: Hon’ble Deputy and President of India-Mexico Parliamentary Friendship Group, H.E. Mr. Salvador Caro Cabrera; Hon’ble General Director of Attraction, Investment and Business Development, SEDECO, H.E. Ms. Maria Andrea Colin Albarran; Hon’ble Coordinator of Economic Growth of Jalisco H.E. Mr. Xavier Orendain de Obeso and Honorary Consul General of India in Guadalajara, Mr. Xavier Orendain.

3.After the event, Ambassador Sharma also met with the Secretary General of Government of Jalisco, H.E. Mr. Enrique Ibarra Pedroza & Mr. Juan Pérez from Workers Federation of Jalisco CTM. They discussed the potential areas of cooperation between India and the State of Jalisco. Secretary General was very positive about the prospects and wished to take forward the ideas presented.

4.HCLTech entered Mexico in 2008 and employs more than 2400 people across Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey. Majority of their clients are Fortune 500 organizations.
