Ambassador Pankaj Sharma presented his Credentials to the President of Mexico H.E. Andrés Manuel López Obrador

Ambassador Pankaj Sharma presented a copy of credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of India to the United Mexican States on 16 March 2022 to the Hon´ble President of the United Mexican States, H.E. Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the National Palace, Mexico. The President was accompanied by the Foreign Minister of Mexico, H.E. Mr. Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon.

President AMLO warmly welcomed Ambassador Sharma to Mexico and fondly recalled the visit of Hon´ble External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar to Mexico in September 2021. The President underlined the importance of India-Mexico relations and expressed his confidence that the relationship will strengthen further in the coming years. He conveyed Mexico´s deep appreciation for India´s s gesture of solidarity through the supply of Covid19 vaccines to Mexico. President AMLO noted the upcoming visit of Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to India and highlighted pharmaceuticals and supply of medicines as one of the most important areas of bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Sharma in his remarks conveyed warm greetings from the Hon´ble President and the Hon´ble Prime Minister of India and expressed his resolve to work together for strengthening India-Mexico bilateral relationship. Ambassador Sharma assured President AMLO of his commitment to further intensify the close engagement between the two countries, specifically including economic and trade ties, space cooperation, science, technology and innovation, co-production of pharmaceuticals and vaccines, Ayurveda and non-traditional medicines, academic exchanges and global issues, among others.
